Your treatment begins with a thorough skin assessment. Jayme applies the peel solution in carefully controlled layers, monitoring your skin's response throughout. You'll feel a mild warming or tingling sensation. The treatment takes approximately 30–45 minutes. Post-peel, your skin will be calm and slightly flushed — Jayme will apply soothing post-peel recovery products and brief you on aftercare to maximize your results.
Light to moderate flaking or peeling may occur 2–5 days after your treatment, depending on the strength of the peel applied. This is a normal part of the skin renewal process. Jayme will provide detailed aftercare instructions and recommend products to support comfortable, healthy peeling.
Some redness is common immediately after and typically subsides within a few hours to a day. Flaking, when it occurs, is usually visible days 2–5. Most clients return to their normal activities the same day, though social plans around days 3–5 should be considered if a stronger peel is used.
Every 4–6 weeks is appropriate for most clients, allowing the skin to complete its healing and renewal cycle between treatments. A series of 3–6 peels is typically recommended for addressing significant concerns like hyperpigmentation or acne scarring.
For at least 72 hours post-peel: avoid direct sun exposure and use SPF 50 diligently, avoid exercise and heat (sauna, steam), skip retinol and active exfoliants, and do not pick or force any peeling skin. Jayme will go over all aftercare specifics at your appointment.
